We are actively seeking a Supervisor - Operations for our Verreault shipyard.

 

YOUR TYPICAL DAY

Reporting to the Director - Operations, you will have to:

•   Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees under your responsibility and ensure a smooth transition between work shifts;
•   Ensure progress of work by respecting priorities and schedules established by the superintendents;
•   Ensure optimal use of equipment and human resources;
•   Mobilize and educate the team on the policies, procedures and regulations in force and ensure application of the collective agreement in force;
•   Ensure effective management of absenteeism on his/her shift;
•   Suggest and participate in the implementation of continuous improvements;
•   Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

 

OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE

•   College degree in management, university degree in industrial or business relations or other relevant training;
•   Professional experience in a similar role;
•   Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite;
•   Leadership and interpersonal skills;
•   Organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
•   Autonomy and discretion;
•   Good stress tolerance and ability to work on multiple files simultaneously;
•   Bilingualism in French and English, oral and written (asset).
